Man faces 3 charges for animal cruelty

A Winding Way man has been indicted for animal cruelty after police reportedly found three malnourished dogs in his possession.The defendant, James A. Lindahl, 48, was indicted last week by the Warren County grand jury on charges of animal cruelty involving the three canines. He was given one indictment each for all three dogs.“He had in his possession three dogs that had been neglected,” said McMinnville policewoman Leilani DeFore, noting the animals were found at his home on Winding Way.DeFore, in citing Lindahl into court on the animal cruelty charges, said there were several health problems being faced by the dogs.“The dogs were emaciated with spine and ribs showing,” DeFore recalled. “Two of the dogs have a skin infection.”The three dogs were turned over to animal control after Lindahl was cited.
