A local man who hasn’t even reached his 19th birthday has been indicted by the Warren County grand jury on four counts of child rape.Bradley Kent Smedley, 18, was served with the sealed indictments and booked at Warren County Jail on Wednesday.District Attorney Lisa Zavogiannis declined to comment on the case saying it is a pending investigation. The four indictments filed in Circuit Court reveal four incidents allegedly took place on two separate days, April 3-4 of this year. The indictments contend Smedley “did engage in unlawful sexual penetration of a minor child over 3 years of age, but less than 13 years of age, constituting the offense of rape of a child.”The indictments claim the victim was 5 years old at the time of the crime.
