A maintenance man who stole thousands of dollars worth of medical equipment from a dentist’s office has been sentenced to seven years in prison.The man, Kevin Dwayne Ferrell, 40, of Smyrna entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to the charge of grand theft. He was directed to serve seven years as a Range-Two offender due to his prior criminal record, meaning he must serve at least 35 percent of his prison time before he becomes eligible for parole. Normal offenders are eligible for parole after 30 percent.
