Locke hears 47-person general sessions docket

A 47-person docket was heard Thursday by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions Traffic Court. The cases not listed were dismissed or continued to a later date. Included in court action:• Evelyn Jones was ordered to serve 45 days of a six-month sentence, pay $608 and lose her driver license for one year for criminal impersonation and third-offense driving on a suspended license.• Jimmy Nolan was bound to the grand jury on charges of fourth-offense DUI and driving on a revoked license.• Charles Nunley was bound to the grand jury on charges of underage DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and underage consumption.• Keith Prater was ordered to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $1,261, lose his driver license for one year, perform 24 hours public service work, and attend DUI school for DUI and driving on a suspended license.• James Brothers was bound to the grand jury on the charge of third-offense DUI. He must forfeit his driver license for one year for violation of implied consent.• Michael Burton was bound to the grand jury on charges of DUI, driving on a suspended license, and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
