A local man drown Sunday while swimming at Rock Island State Park. The victim has been identified as Danny Lee Herrin Jr., 35, of McMinnville. State park officials have yet to reveal much information only to say Herrin was found Sunday around 6:30 p.m. It's the first drowning of the year at Rock Island on the heels of four people drowning at the state park last year.
