Christmas can be a wonderful time, but it can also be very stressful. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and enjoy a free Christmas Com-munity Meal courtesy of Young Men United.

“We are offering our annual Christmas dinner,” said Young Men United president Donald Crisp. “This will be a sit-down dinner. Because of COVID, we weren’t able to offer it last year. Everyone is welcome to attend.”

Christmas dinner will be served Saturday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Bernard Community Center. The center is located on Bernard Drive. Guest speaker will be 31st Judicial District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis.

Young Men United is not only building character in our children, but also building community unity by offering family oriented events throughout the year, says Crisp.

The meal will be first-come, first-serve until the food runs out. On the planned menu are ham, chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, drinks and cake.
