Warren County High School students have returned with a second-place finish after competing against 20 other teams in a hands-on environmental challenge.The event, called the Regional Envirothon, had teams competing in five topics covering aquatics, forestry, soil, wildlife, and invasive species. In its 24th year, the Regional Envirothon was held at Cumberland County Community Complex.The WCHS team consisted of Parker Hildreth, Martin Grissom, Clint Grissom, Taylor Turner and Ian Pursley. Lori Mayfield, advisor, and Dawn Cantrell, assistant advisor, traveled with the group.DeKalb County emerged as the winning team.
