A decision has been made on who will be the next principal at Warren County High School.

Director of Schools Bobby Cox announced, via press release, the hiring of Clark George as the Executive Principal of Warren County High School beginning the 2019-20 school year. George replaces Jimmy Walker, who announced his retirement last month.

George is a 21-year veteran teacher and administrator in Warren County Schools.

“George has served in several areas over the last 21 years from teaching regular education science classes to advanced placement courses, served as a team leader, and most recently as an assistant principal,” said Cox in the release. “Mr. George has been in our Principal Pipeline development program for two years and has displayed outstanding leadership skills in his brief tenure as an administrator. I have full confidence in Mr. George and his abilities to lead and he will do an outstanding job leading Warren County High School.”

Mr. George will begin the transition to his new role immediately and will take full ownership of the position effective July 1, 2019.

More to come in Wednesday’s edition.
