Warren Courthouse repairs to proceed

The city gave the county permission to make improvements to the courthouse on Tuesday. The county needed city approval because the building is located in the citys downtown historic district.
Renovation of Warren County Courthouse can proceed now that permission has been granted from the city. The city Historic Zoning Commission met Tuesday to review a certificate of appropriate (COA) application from Warren County government.In attendance were County Executive Herschel Wells and Commissioner Carl E. Bouldin, who is chair of the county Building and Grounds Committee.“If you’ve noticed, the trim around the top of the building has gotten in really bad shape,” said Wells. “Some of it is rotten.
