Sentences were handed down in General Sessions Traffic Court by Judge Bill Locke. Included in court action:Wayne Latu was ordered to serve 45 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $600 plus costs and lose his driver license for two years for second-offense DUI.Melvin D. Woods was instructed to serve 22 days of an 11-29 sentence for driving on a revoked license. He must also serve 20 days for violation of probation.Brian Lee Brashears was bound to the grand jury on charges of simple possession of marijuana, violating habitual traffic offender status and violation of the financial responsibility law.Guillermo Mendoza was instructed to serve 48 hours of a six-month sentence, pay $50 plus costs and lose driving privileges for one year for driving on a revoked license.Anthony L. Brown, Cory Wayne Sullivan and Roy Connell Jr., were directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $350 plus costs, perform 24 hours public service work, attend DUI School and lose driving privileges for one year for DUI.Michael N. Marlett was granted an 11-29 judicial diversion and must pay $50 plus costs for purchasing alcohol for an underage person.
