Logan Taylor isn’t looking to dim the spotlight, but he’s shining it in a new direction. After directing seven plays at the historic Park Theater, Taylor has shifted his focus to his first movie, a short film called “Until the End,” which he wrote himself.Taylor says he got the idea to write a movie from friend Brittany Goodwin, who filmed “If You’re Gone” in McMinnville this summer. Watching Goodwin transfer her story to film gave Taylor the desire to try it for himself.“It’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever done in my life,” said Taylor.Filming took place in Warren County over five days earlier this month. The cast includes stars such as Lacy Hartselle, a full-time actress who has credits that include “Christmas in July,” a movie released this year, and the TV show “Nashville.”“We were lucky to get her because her schedule is backed up through next year,” said Taylor.Chicago resident Oscar Mansky plays the villain, while Robin Dyke, the star of Bravo’s “Mother Funders” also has a leading role.A number of local residents have major roles, including Luke Nafrada, who earned praise for playing the lead in two of Taylor’s recent Park Theater productions, “High School Musical” and “Tarzan.”
