Swallows addresses concerns about Third-Grade Literacy Success Act

Warren County schools chief Dr. Grant Swallows fields questions from parents and teachers on Tennessee’s new Third-Grade Literacy Success Act at a meeting at Hickory Creek Elementary School. This was one of eight public discussion sessions offered by the local school district over the past few weeks. Many of the topics and issues raised in those meetings are distilled in a half-hour program airing on McMinnville Public Radio 91.3-WCPI.
All across Tennessee, parents want to know more about a law that could hold their third-graders at that level for another year.
