A man has been sentenced to 60 days for eating the evidence after he swallowed a mouthful of marijuana when a deputy stopped a car in which he was a passenger.The man, Andrew Phillip Aubrey, 28, was directed to serve 60 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $400 plus costs for simple possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was originally charged with tampering with evidence.He was arrested after deputy Brystol Davis pulled over a vehicle after seeing it cross the center-line. While the driver passed a sobriety test, Davis said he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the car.“I had the passengers get out of the vehicle and the backseat passenger had a strong smell of marijuana on his person,” the deputy said, noting the smell was coming from Aubrey.
