A McMinnville woman is facing several charges stemming from a shooting incident.
Madison Paige Spangler, 21, has been charged with reckless endangerment and aggravated assault. According to McMinnville Police Department, she is alleged to have shot Samuel Tanner this past Saturday, April 10.
Officer Toby Lewis responded to a report of shots fired at 414 Hardaway Street at 4:45 p.m. and he discovered a wounded Tanner.
“On my arrival, I made contact with Samuel Tanner,” said Lewis. “He had a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He stated that Madison Spangler had shot him when he came to get some of his personal property left at the residence.”
The nature of the relationship between the two is unknown, as is Tanner’s medical condition.
Spangler was located in the neighborhood, but three streets away.
“Madison Spangler was located at 105 Hardaway Street and the weapon was also recovered,” said Lewis. “I placed her under arrest and transported her to jail.”
A search of Spangler’s person revealed “a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine” in her bra. Charges of introduction of drugs into a penal institution, possession of methamphetamine, and alteration of a serial number were added.
Bond was set at $70,000.
