When students in the Warren County School System have a need, the Family Resource Center is in place to help.

The center is operated by co-directors Sharon Hargrove and Delia Walker, who receive recommendations from teachers, guidance counselors and other school officials when they recognize a student has a glaring need.

Food is one of the obvious needs presented, but it is certainly not the only problem. Sometimes a student is sleeping on the floor without a bed. The Family Resource Center will work to provide a mattress.

Sometimes a student may only have one pair of jeans. The Family Resource Center will work to provide additional clothing.

In order to fill these needs, the Family Resource Center requires funding. The Breakfast Rotary Club and Noon Rotary Club of McMinnville teamed together to give the organization a $500 donation on Friday.

Monetary donations are always welcome and so are supplies that are in good condition. Bridgestone and Second Harvest Food Bank are among the many organizations that have provided support.

The Family Resource Center is located in the related arts building at Warren County Middle School. It has a spacious area capable of accommodating a large number of donations.
