The Warren County A&L Fair kicks off this weekend and on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m. visitors to the main stage at the grandstands will be treated to an evening of music and comedy with Viola’s On The Road Again Show, a group of locals performing as famous entertainers.

“I’m really excited about this year’s lineup,” said Lynn Dale Jones, who oversees the show. “We have a newcomer to the stage, Tina Turner. She was supposed to perform during Viola Valley Homecoming’s show, but couldn’t make it. I’ve been reassured she will be at the fair.”

Pretend singing as Turner will be Karen Skillern. Most would recognize her as the Walmart associate with the boisterous personality. In 2018, a video on Facebook of her received more than 700 reactions and was viewed more than 15,000 times as people expressed their love and appreciation for the hilarious Walmart door greeter.

“Karen is going to be wonderful as Turner,” said Jones.

Signing on to perform in this year’s show will be individuals performing as Minnie Pearl, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Dove Cameron, Kidd Rock and Sheryl Crow, The Judds, Tanya Tucker, Kelly Clarkson, Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Johnny Cash and June Carter, Shania Twain, Ray Stevens, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Dottie West, Soggy Bottom Boys, Blue Brothers, and Lee Greenwood.

Offering comedy commentary in between performances will be Bubba, also known as Kevin Deason, who usually emcees the event barefoot and dressed in overalls.
