A man faces rape charges for allegedly forcing himself on a 14-year-old girl.The suspect, James Everett Smith, 32, has entered not guilty pleas to charges of rape and sexual battery for the two incidents. He was given a Nov. 16 plea or trial date during his appearance before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley last week. His first appearance for arraignment ended before it began last month after he caused a commotion in the courtroom and was ordered back to jail.
