A businessman who led lawmen on a multi-county chase in his company box truck has been sentenced to eight years in prison.The man, Tracey Parton, 46, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of aggravated assault, evading arrest and reckless endangerment. He was ordered to serve eight years in the state penitentiary, pay $460 plus costs and perform 40 hours public service work.The chase that landed Parton in prison began after he sideswiped two vehicles and ran others off the road in Coffee County. Parton, who runs a truck repair business, was driving his large box truck, complete with the name of his business on the side.McMinnville Police, receiving the all-points bulletin from Coffee County, fell in behind the suspect on Highway 70 and pursued him onto Yager Road and then over to Old Smithville Road.
