Gilley Pool is set to open for the season this Saturday, May 25, at 10 a.m.
“We’re definitely ready,” said Mari-Lynn Wilson, Parks and Recreation Department wellness coordinator. “The pool looks amazing. It’s going to be a wonderful season. The lifeguards are really excited for the season to begin.”
New for this year: Season pass holders, both individual and family, will be allowed to enter the pool 15 minutes before those paying a daily rate. The added benefit is an attempt to ensure season pass holders can get into the pool on days when its capacity of 800 is reached.
Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. until June 16.
Water aerobics is offered at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Cost is normal price of admission to the pool, if you do not have a season pass. Season passes include water aerobics and little squirts admissions.
Gilley Tokens, individual passes that can be purchased at one time and used during the season, are $5, or purchase 10 or more for $4 each.
Individual seasonal passes are $75, and family seasonal passes are $210.
