An SUV went airborne Wednesday morning at Depot Bottom as part of a four-car collision that collected an undercover sheriff’s department vehicle.Despite the potential for serious injury, only one person, Gruetli-Laager resident Heather King, received medical attention following the 10:30 a.m. crash on South Chancery Street. King’s injuries are not believed to be serious.According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord driven by Ricky Knight was traveling down the hill on South Chancery Street and reached Depot Bottom. At that point, a Ford Explorer driven by McMinnville resident George Bartz, 38, made a right turn from George Huggins Drive and entered the path of the Honda. The impact sent the Honda into the other lane of travel where the low-sitting vehicle served as a ramp for a Dodge Journey driven by Holly Cherry, 30, of McMinnville.
