President Trump said last week NFL owners should fire or suspend players who kneel during the national anthem in protest. On Sunday, NFL players, coaches and owners delivered their response in stadiums across the country. Some teams locked arms in solidarity during “The Star-Spangled Banner,” while other players opted to kneel or sit. The Titans and Seahawks decided not to participate in the national anthem at all before their game in Nashville with both teams taking the field after the song was performed. Those actions have triggered wide-ranging responses here in Warren County where conversations about proper behavior during the national anthem have been prevalent.“You honor the flag and you salute the flag.
