Local officials aren’t ready for the final chorus of Bluegrass Underground.After this month’s surprise announcement Bluegrass Underground would be leaving Cumberland Caverns at the end of the year, meetings have been held to see if an agreement can be reached to entice the concert series to stay.Bluegrass Underground has taken place in Warren County since its inception nine years ago. It attracts an estimated 20,000 visitors to Warren County each year, according to Bluegrass Underground creator Todd Mayo.“A group of people have been working toward a solution since we heard the news last week,” Chamber of Commerce president Mandy Eller said Friday. “There is still hope for a return of Bluegrass Underground to Cumberland Caverns.”
