Hickory Creek librarian Lydia Taylor reads “The Giving Tree” to some students as part of the Social Emotional Learning curriculum. “Each week, I read one book and talk about how our emotions affect us physically,” said Taylor.
District wide, Warren County Schools have been participating in Social Emotional Learning work and the data is showing positive results – reduction in chronic absences, suspension rates, and office referrals.
