A father who fled the area with his 3-year-old son following a drug raid on his home remains at large with his child, prompting a nationwide manhunt. Lawmen are looking for Cecil Corey Haggins and child Jackson Duane Haggins, neither of whom have been seen since before the raid on the Haggins home last Wednesday.“The family is worried, but right now we don’t have reason to believe he would harm the child,” said Warren County Sheriff Jackie Matheny, noting the father and child have been placed in the national crime computer and authorities around the nation have been directed to remain on the lookout for them.Matheny noted the child, whose mother is in jail, had been with Haggins for several months. Investigators suspect Haggins absconded to avoid prosecution on drug charges and not as part of any custody dispute.“We executed a search warrant on his home off Old Shelbyville Road and found seven ounces of meth,” Matheny said of the large stash of drugs for which Haggins now faces charges.
