Myers charged with impersonating law

A man faces charges after he showed up drunk at someone’s door and claimed he was a policeman.The man, James D. Myers, 61, of Hillsboro is charged with impersonating a licensed professional, fourth-offense DUI, and driving on a revoked license. He will face preliminary hearing July 28.Myers was arrested after he appeared at a home on Villa Road.“He was knocking on the door, stating he was a policeman,” said deputy Derek Bowles in his warrant against Myers.When the deputy arrived, he found Myers talking with the resident. “He had a smell of alcoholic beverage about him,” Bowles said.
