A felony evading arrest charge has been filed against a Lebanon man after he fled deputies on a motorcycle, topping 100 mph.The man, Aaron Daniel Stephens, 23, told lawmen after being caught he ran because he didn’t want to get a speeding ticket. He now faces one to two years in prison on charges of evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He will face preliminary hearing Sept. 15 before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke.Stephens began his run from the law when sheriff’s deputy Joseph Vanbommel saw the suspect traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 70 Bypass near the North Spring Street intersection.
