The Morrison meeting where officials were going to vote on the rezoning of land has been canceled and has not yet been rescheduled.
At the beginning of the month, Morrison held a public hearing for residents to voice their concerns and opinions on McNeilus Steel potentially coming to W. Maple Street. Before the company can start building, the land has to be rezoned from agricultural to industrial.
Prior to this meeting, the Morrison board and the Planning Commission had both voted in favor of rezoning the land. The rezoning decision currently lacks one vote.
Morrison officials were going to vote on the rezoning after the public hearing on Jan. 3, but postponed the meeting and rescheduled it for Thursday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. On Friday, Morrison Mayor Sue Anderson said this meeting has been canceled.
She said they are going to reschedule it, but as of now there is not a date set. Anderson said it will be posted on the Morrison website, morrisoncity.org, when it is rescheduled.
