Emily Pennington is collecting hygiene items for distribution to nursing homes residents, an effort in its fourth year. She is 2018 Warren County Fairest of the Fair and 2019 Tennessee Fairest of the Fair. “Embracing the Elderly” was the title of her platform and the reason behind the collection/ distribution effort.
A new pageant with a message of compassion for the elderly is coming – Miss Pioneer Christmas Time. The inaugural event is scheduled for Dec. 12 at Three Star Mall and is for girls ages 4-21.
