A graveside service is scheduled today for a military veteran whose body remained at a local funeral home for nearly two weeks because his family members didn’t have money to bury him.Tommy Bonner, a private with the U.S. Army who served overseas, died Feb. 18 at the age of 66.His funeral is Friday at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery on Manchester Highway. Visitation is Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at High Funeral Home. The funeral home says all the money to pay for his service has been donated.“It’s heartening for me to see the community come together like this,” said his niece Lynn Pleasant.
