An Old Shelbyville Road couple faces drug and theft charges after they were caught with meth and stolen goods at their home.
The man, Eric Lee Dodson, is charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of explosive components and grand theft. The woman, Anna M. Campbell, is charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
Their arrests come after sheriff’s investigators raided the building in which they were staying on property off Old Shelbyville Road. Authorities reported finding a plastic container with 38 grams of crystal meth.
“There were also numerous baggies located along with digital scales,” said sheriff’s investigator Steven Carpenter.
A continued search of the building netted a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle that was reported stolen Nov. 16. There was a John Deere Gator found behind the building that had also been reported stolen. It is worth $8,000.
“There were numerous guns located inside the building,” Carpenter noted. “One of the guns was a Stevens model shotgun that the barrel had been sawed off.”
