Haley changes course after city complaints

With city recorder Shirley Durham administering the oaths of office, Aldermen Kate Alsbrook, Ben Newman and Mike Neal were sworn in on Tuesday night.
McMinnville Mayor Jimmy Haley imposed sanctions against Alderman Mike Neal, initially barring him as chairman from any city committees. The announcement was made Tuesday night, but Mayor Haley changed his mind by late Wednesday.There are six aldermen and six city committees. Traditionally, one alderman is selected to chair each committee.
