A Rock Island man has been hit with contributing charges after he was caught hiding a 16-year-old runaway in his home, with the girl telling authorities he gave her meth.The man, William R. Draht, 38, has been bound to the grand jury on the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.Stuart Colwell, investigator for District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis, went to Draht’s door on Park Drive after receiving information the runaway girl was there. Draht answered the door.“When asked if the juvenile was present in the residence, he stated no,” Colwell reported, noting Draht would soon show to be telling a lie. “During further conversation she came from hiding and was taken into custody on the existing juvenile petition.”The teen girl was questioned about what brought her to the residence and why she was there.“She admitted that William Draht had provided her with methamphetamine,” the investigation revealed, noting she had been given the drugs the night before.
