Grand theft charges have been leveled against a man after a stolen trailer was found hitched to the bumper of his Ford truck.The suspect, Chad Keaton Conner, 36, has been charged with theft over $1,000 and will face hearing June 20.His charges come after a Mt. Zion man discovered his two-axle horse trailer and its contents, which included a carburetor with intake, barbed wire and angle iron, had been taken. The theft was estimated to have cost the victim around $1,500.When sheriff’s deputy Jason Satterwhite arrived, he was told the victim had received a call from a friend who told him Conner was trying to sell a trailer like the one that had been taken from the victim.
