A drunk driver who ran from the law, only to find himself wrecked in someone’s front yard, has been bound to the grand jury on charges of evading arrest and DUI.The suspect, Michael Richard Malone, 38, is set to have his case go before the grand jury early next month for leading police on a short chase that began when he was tied to a domestic incident minutes before.“There was a report of a physical domestic on Caldwell Street,” said McMinnville officer Austin Wortman, noting he was heading toward the call and was advised the suspect had left the scene in a white Camaro. “I noticed a vehicle with an inoperable passenger-side headlight.”The officer turned around on the suspect vehicle and activated his blue lights and siren. The driver refused to stop.“He continued on North Spring Street and accelerated as he attempted to turn onto Rebel Hill Street,” Wortman said.
