As residents of Louisiana struggle to recover from a flood that caused widespread damaged to homes and displaced thousands, questions are swirling about the countless pets that are now homeless and in need of assistance.Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center director Kim Pettrey is trying to help. “I’ve been watching what is going on in Louisiana and my heart goes out to those people,” said Pettrey. “It looks like they are receiving assistance and relief efforts are underway and that’s good, but what about the animals?
