A man charged with breaking his wife’s headlight and puncturing one of her tires while she was inside the car has been indicted by the Warren County Grand Jury.

McMinnville resident Curtis Lloyd, 36, was indicted for aggravated assault, harassment, and four counts of violating an order of protection.

One of the incidents in question reportedly happened May 24 when the female victim was in her car.

“She stated she was in her car and Curtis approached her with a crowbar and used it to break her headlight,” the arrest warrant states. “She also stated Curtis used a knife to puncture her tire and that she felt her life was threatened.”

An officer verified the damage to the vehicle matched what was explained in the statement, the arrest warrant says.

The next day, May 25, officers responded to the same address around 8:15 p.m. because Lloyd was reportedly on the property.

“Curtis Lloyd was in a tent in the back yard,” the arrest warrant states.

A check with dispatch verified that the female does have an active order of protection against Lloyd. He was arrested and transported to jail.

An indictment, or true bill, means the criminal charges against Lloyd can proceed. If a true bill was not returned, the charges against Lloyd would have been dismissed.
