Central Church of Christ welcomes Robert Jeffries in a return engagement this week as visiting speaker for its annual homecoming and gospel meeting.Jeffries, former preacher at Smyrna Church of Christ, led Central’s gospel series in August 2015. In this week’s meeting, starting Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing through Wednesday evening, he will address the question, “Why remain faithful.”After speaking at the Bible study in the combined auditorium class Sunday morning, he will bring the sermon at worship at 10:30 am. Evening meetings will extend from Sunday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.A perennially popular feature of Central’s gospel meeting — the friends and neighbors complimentary luncheon — returns Tuesday with serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. “We always look forward to seeing our friends every year at the luncheon, and you don’t need a personal invitation to join us for this event,” said Central elder William Ramsey.
