A female inmate has been given six additional months behind bars for assaulting a fellow prisoner at Warren County Jail.
The inmate, Randi Lachelle Radekin, 29, was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to serve six months in jail in addition to the time she was serving for violating her probation on charges of possession of meth. She will be allowed into the drug court program, which is an intensive 18-month rehabilitation program overseen by the local court system.
Her extra jail time comes for an incident that happened in E-Pod in the women’s section of the county jail.
According to Sheriff’s Capt. James Ramsey, Radekin assaulted a fellow inmate.
“She intentionally and knowingly caused bodily harm to her,” the captain swore in his warrant against the inmate.
Ramsey noted the victim sustained injuries to her face and arms as result of the incident and had to be taken to the emergency room for treatment. The reason for the attack was not revealed.
