A 72-year-old woman’s failure to yield while pulling out of her driveway resulted in a collision that flipped the other driver’s car.

According to state trooper Ben Cannon, Sheila Taylor was attempting to leave her house on Beersheba Highway on Monday afternoon when she pulled into the path of 46-year-old Debbie Herman.

The collision caused Herman’s black Honda Civic to flip before landing upside-down on the side of the road. After impact, Taylor veered into her front yard with front-end damage to her 2013 Nissan Rogue.

Cannon says speed does not seem to be a factor. He said that Taylor simply failed to yield and pulled into oncoming traffic.

Herman was transported from the scene by ambulance to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park to be treated for minor injuries. Taylor was shaken up, but uninjured following the wreck.
