Steve Harvey entertains the crowd at Hark in the Park in 2021. The Warren County Christmas tradition returns Saturday night at the Park Theater.

Hark at the Park will mark its 15th year Saturday night at 7 p.m. as the Warren County Christmas tradition returns to the Park Theater stage.

The event is a Christmas concert featuring a variety of local performers lending their skills for a good cause. Hark at the Park organizer and performer Steve Harvey explained the origin of the show. "This is our 15th year of putting on this concert. The first several years we held it at the Magness Library. It got started when my wife, Lisa, and I were talking about raising money for the kids at Hamilton Street Activity Center, where she had recently been hired. I had always felt like there's a lot of musicians from here who people don't realize how good they are."

After a few years in the library's relatively small auditorium, the event outgrew the space as the Park Theater was reopened and became available. The event's popularity is now even more than the Park Theater can fully accommodate. "We have sold out the show the last three years and we expect to again this year. All the proceeds are split between the Hamilton Street Activity Center and the Magness Library," Harvey said.

This year's lineup features a variety of music, featuring performances from Griffin WInton, Victor (Tito) Gomez, Kevin Harvey, the Dancers of Hamilton Street, Chuck Jones, Lee Carr, Ashley Fernandez, Michael McGee, Holly Martin and Joe Harvey.

A very limited number of tickets are available at the Park Theater box office today from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., mcminnvilleparktheater.com or by calling the theater at (931) 506-2787. The Park Theater is located at 115 W. Main St. The show begins Saturday night at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
