Chance Hale has been elected as president of the Tennessee Future Business Leaders of America.

The Warren County High School junior ascended from vice president his sophomore year.

“Where one story ends, another begins,” said Hale. “Tennessee FBLA, I am proud to serve as your 2020-21 state president. Though the circumstances have not been ideal due to this pandemic, Tennessee FBLA has been unwavering in its commitment to inspire positive change throughout our state, country, and world.”

FBLA is a student business organization that strives to prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. Pro-grams focus on: leadership development, academic competitions, educational programs, community service, awards and recognition.

“At the very beginning of my freshman year, FBLA challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone, break the status quo, and become a better leader,” said Hale. “From the very moment I decided to run for a state office my sophomore year, FBLA was already family. Building lasting relationships, connecting with people all across the world, and being there for one another in times of need is what makes our organization so great. My FBLA family grew from a small chapter in Warren County to thousands of people across the world.”

Hale offered kind words for his state family. To his local chapter family he said, “Advisor Mrs. Jamie Branin, thank you for your continued support and for adopting me into the FBLA family. To Chris Tauson, Zach Buchanan, Bailey Ford, the regional coordinators, the DECA team, and Mr. Steven Mitchell, thank you for guidance and leadership, and the fantastic experiences and adventures we had this year.”

The pandemic cut the school year short, but not the enthusiasm Hale has for FBLA.

“This new year brings new challenges, opportunities, and friendships to be made and though this pandemic has cut our ending short, our organization has never been stronger. Together we will prevail and continue to inspire positive change throughout the world.”
