A burglar whose home invasion attempt went horribly wrong has been sentenced to six years.The burglar, Garrett Randal Duggin, 32, entered guilty pleas to charges of burglary, theft, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and aggravated burglary. He was ordered by Judge Bart Stanley to serve six years in the state penitentiary.His prison sentence comes after police responded to the burglary of Cash-4-U Pawn on Smithville Highway in the early morning hours. When they arrived, they found the front-door glass had been shattered.
