Rock Island resident Martin Grissom is among 10 UT-Martin students who have been awarded a Farm Credit Mid-America agricultural scholarship.Grissom is the fourth generation of his family to work on their farm in Rock Island where he grows corn, pigs and engages in other ag endeavors. He briefly opened his own business in 2016 while he was still a senior at WCHS. It was called M&M Farms Fresh Meat, where he sold pork products and fresh eggs two days a week. “Scholarships are a direct example of our investment in the future of agriculture,” said Bill Johnson, president and CEO of Farm Credit Mid-America.
