Just about every mode of transportation is expected to be on display this Saturday for the sixth annual Back to The Strip. Horseback riders are seen cruising The Strip during a previous event.
If you want to holler at your friends while cruising The Strip, this is the weekend for you.Pack your pickup, or ride your horse, as the sixth annual Back to The Strip event is set for this Saturday. It will begin at 10 a.m. at Warren County Fairgrounds with a car show and kids zone. The gathering will gravitate to The Strip around 5 p.m. when the Foodland Plus parking lot becomes the epicenter of activity with T-shirt sales, canned food collections, and music from a DJ.“I think the community supports this so well because it’s a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels and all the money stays in this county to help feed the elderly and shut-ins,” said Mary Walker, one of the organizers. “That and the fact we get to act like kids again riding up and down The Strip.”The event grew roots six years ago when friends Chris Terry and Brad Bolding began talking on Facebook about how much fun it would be to ride The Strip like they did when they were in high school.
