McMinnville Fire Department will be accepted donations for Susan G. Komen Upper Cumberland during the month of October with its “Fill the Boot” fundraising campaign. Personnel will be located at Walmart with Ladder Truck 2 and Sav A Lot with Engine 8 on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. with a pink boot that needs to be filled with donation dollars. If you miss that event, they will also be at Zaxby’s on Oct. 22 from 2-5 p.m., Dairy Queen from 6-9 p.m., and Boyd Christian School from 12-5 p.m. “We put on our pink shirts and we raise money for breast cancer research every October,” said McMinnville Fire Department Chief Kendall Mayfield.
