On May 5, Justin Carrell Fann, 46, accepted a no-contest plea to reduced charges after being charged with beating a 72-year-old man who died four months later at the age of 73. The incident occurred on Feb. 17, 2020. At the time, District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis said there was no way to prove the injuries from the attack were directly responsible for his death.
