Reigning Fairest of the Fair Hannah Turner holds copies of the 2016 Warren County A&L Fair book, which are now available at the Southern Standard and area banks.

The "Workin' Man's PhD" will be making an appearance at the Warren County A&L Fair this year.
Country music star Aaron Tippin is the featured entertainer and will perform at the grandstand Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m.
Tippin is known for the hits "You've Got to Stand for Something," which climbed to No. 6 on the country chart, "There Ain't Nothing Wrong with the Radio," "My Blue Angel," and "Workin' Man's PhD."
With an unmistakable country twang, Tippin is celebrating 25 years of making records in 2016.
"I think about it and go, 'Wow, what am I still doing here?'" Tippin says in an article published in the annual Warren County A&L Fair book. "To be here 25 years doing this, I am the luckiest hillbilly that ever lived."
Fair books were distributed around the community on Friday and are now available at Southern Standard, area banks, and other businesses.
This year's fair is Sept. 9-17 and kicks off with the Pre-Teen Fairest of the Fair Pageant on Friday night.
Reigning Fairest of the Fair Hannah Turner says it's been an enjoyable year since she won her crown. She's read to children at area schools as part of her duties as beauty queen.
