Local entertainment will appear on three stages throughout the fairgrounds:
Front Gate Stage, the Bobcat of McMinnville School Stage and the Security Federal Savings Bank Shed Stage. The date and times for each act will be posted at each stage.
There are a few annual indicators of the approach of fall in Warren County. The days start getting a little shorter, kids head back to school, the Pioneers kick off a new season and the new Warren County A&L Fair Book starts popping up around town. Fair Books arrived this week and detailed the fun awaiting attendees of the fair's 69th year.
Highlighting the fair, as always, are several pageants, including Fairest of the Fair, Monday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. Saturday is the final day to register for pageants. Rides will be presented by Crescent City Amusements all nine days of the fair and local entertainment will be provided on three stages. Colt Ford is this year's headline entertainer, taking the stage Thursday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. For a full schedule of events, see page 3A.
The fair is made possible by the tireless efforts of the fair board and Warren County A&L Fair President Regan Kelsey. Kelsey spoke to the Standard about current efforts to make the 2023 fair another in a long line of successful events. "The fair board has been busy the last couple of months with planning and preparing for the 2023 fair. The last couple of weeks have been particularly busy and will remain so until the fair is over. The fair will be a full nine days again this year with Crescent City Amusements coming back for their second year. There aren't any real big changes to the schedule this year but a few things have changed and some final tweaks are being finalized as we speak."
Fair Books are available now and can be found at the Southern Standard, most local banks and the ag extension office. The book is also available online at warrencountyalfair.org. Updates throughout the fair can be found on the Warren County A&L Fair Facebook page.
"I would very much like to thank our board members and volunteers for doing such a great job year after year and I would also like to thank our sponsors who help us out so much," Kelsey added.
