Extravaganza set for May 13
MarketvilleWEB
Marketville will be held at the Blue Building in downtown McMinnville.

The excitement of the Southern Standard’s annual Marketville is less than one month away. Now is the time to reserve your booth space if you plan to sell crafts, yard sale items, or food.
The one-day extravaganza is preparing for its seventh year. It will be held at the Blue Building in downtown McMinnville for the second year in a row.
“We wanted Marketville to be part of downtown and we’re happy with the way it went last year for its first year at the Blue Building,” said Standard publisher Patricia Zechman. “This year we’ve moved it up a couple of months to get out of the July heat. We think that will make it even more enjoyable.”
Marketville is May 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. One of the highlights is a car show that has seen its share of classic vehicles over the years.
Carnival-type games will be a new addition this year, allowing children to have fun while playing for prizes.
If you’re a vendor, Marketville provides a ready-made crowd. Yard sale items are encouraged. So are nice crafts. If you have it and you want to sell it, Marketville is an ideal place.
Mark your calendar and make plans to be in attendance May 13 for the seventh Marketville. Call the Standard at 473-2191 to reserve your booth space.
