The cookie has crumbled the right way for Victoria England.On Sunday, the WCHS senior was given the highest achievement in Girl Scouts, the Gold Award, during a ceremony at Lipscomb University.England becomes the first girl in the 12-year history of McMinnville Troop 1142 to earn the Gold Award. Only about 5 percent of all Girl Scouts earn the honor, which is equivalent to the Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts.England’s project was providing a children’s library at Warren County Jail. She got the idea from a conversation with Sheriff Jackie Matheny.“He said a lot of children come in and out of the jail visiting a parent,” said England.
